Watch Ngannou’s Only Loss, And The Man Who Beat Him Is Just As Scary With Just As Good A Record

Rising MMA star Francis Ngannou is on a tear in the heavyweight division. The fighter is undefeated inside the octagon, with six victories the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) banner all coming by way of a finish. The heavyweight is on a ten fight winning streak as a professional mixed martial artist, with victories over some of the toughest fighters in the sport. That being said, there is one opponent that kept Ngannou from gaining undefeated status.

Ngannou’s only loss as a mixed martial artist came back in 2013. Fighting in Paris, France, Ngannou went toe-to-toe with Zoumana Cisse at 100% Fight: Contenders 21. The two heavyweight warriors threw down for the Paris crowd in an intense battle, but Ngannou was just not able to keep up with his opponent. Cisse poured on the pressure early in the fight and refused to back down. The fighter nearly locked in several armbar submission attempts, but Ngannou and Cisse ultimately went the distance. In the end, Cisse walked away with a unanimous decision victory over his opponent.
