Merry Christmas! FOX Giving Away Free UFC 218 PPV On Christmas Eve

UFC President Dana White.

The UFC Christmas Eve tradition will continue this year as the promotion confirmed they will be airing another free card for the holidays. UFC 218 took place only a few weeks ago but the UFC is going to replay the pay per view (PPV) event on Fox Sports 1 the day before Christmas.

Last year the UFC did the same thing with UFC 206 which had the memorable Cub Swanson vs. Doo Ho Choi fight, along with Max Holloway vs. Anthony Pettis.

UFC 218 took place on December 2nd and was headlined by a rematch between Max Holloway and Jose Aldo for the UFC featherweight title. The card featured some very memorable fights as well as some crazy finishes.

Eddie Alvarez and Justin Gaethje promised to put on a war from bell to bell and they certainly delivered. After a wild few rounds, Alvarez was able to score a finish and hand Gaethje his first professional loss.

However, perhaps the most stunning fight on the card was the heavyweight encounter between Alistair Overeem and Francis Ngannou. Both heavyweights are known for their devastating knockout power, and the end of the fight definitely displayed that. Ngannou hit Overeem with a hard uppercut that nearly sent his head into orbit and his body crashing to the floor. It was another highlight reel first round finish for the African born fighter and a star making performance.
