Brazil’s Combate has more:

MMA fighter Marlon Sandro was charged on Thursday night with assault on his fiancée, Tayssa Wuensche. Pictures of the victim with a bandaged arm and a bruise on his right eye gained social networks, along with reports of aggression. Shortly after the campaign spread, Dedé Pederneiras, leader of Nova União, team to which Sandro is affiliated, announced through a statement sent to Combate.com that the fighter was disconnected from the team.

The assault would have occurred on the street during a discussion in the neighborhood of Catete, South Zone of Rio de Janeiro. Marlon Sandro would have beaten the bride, erased her with a killer, and left her out of action on the street. Wuensche did not lodge a complaint at the police station at the time of this publication, but her friends campaigned on social networks against the fighter.

“How can one have the COURAGE OF DOING THIS WITH A HUMAN BEING. Even when monsters like (Marlon Sandro) will go unpunished in cases of violence like these in the San Salvador Square in Rio de Janeiro,” wrote one. Another message prompts people to spread the pictures with the hashtag #womenpanel. At the time of this publication, there were already four posts with the hashtag on Instagram. The fighter deleted his account on the social network, after changing the status to “private” earlier, and published a last message this Thursday, in which he talks about his defects and about winning “all my hesitations.” In addition, both he and Tayssa, who according to their Facebook pages had engaged on November 12, deleted the photos in which they appeared together.
