Strange Happenings As Irish Mobster’s Sister Confirms McGregor Assault, Then Deletes And Denies It

In what appears to be an attempt to distance themselves from the situation, the sister of notorious Kinahan Gang hitman Graham “The Wig” Whelan, has changed her tune recently on what happened in a Dublin bar between her father and Conor McGregor, despite herself being one of the very first to report the incident as accurate.

Megan-Rose Whelan the daughter of one of the men who Conor McGregor allegedly punched on Sunday, first tweeted and then deleted news of her father’s assault. She is now distancing herself from the situation with a new statement.

Last Sunday night, UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor reportedly struck a cartel member inside a Dublin pub. This sent a shockwave through the world of social media, as many witnesses posted their reports of what they saw on-line. Police would later talk to the media and reveal that there was actually an earlier incident between Conor and the Kinahan gang.  However, an investigation wasn’t started, since no complaints were filed.

Conor took to social media, with a cryptic video confirming he was the celebrity named in the international media reports. And MMAImports found an anonymous source to go on record and explain the incidents.

Crime experts have weighed in this week, stating McGregor’s life was in serious danger. Brendan Schaub revealed a rumor about a $900k hit out on McGregor, and he wasn’t the first to drop that number.

However, on Thursday morning Conor showed up in Irish courts, and with the media in attendance told the Irish Cartel to, ‘Come and get me.” (Video above)

Megan-Rose’s original account of the assault via twitter read, “When you’re about to go asleep and get a phone call to say Conor McGregor is out of his head in the forge and gave your dad a punch while trying to jump on some fella. Absolute scumbag!”

Thought the tweet was deleted, here’s a screen grab:

Megan-Rose Whelan confirms father’s assault.

However, in true gangster fashion, the sister of “The Wig” is now refuting her original claims in a new notepad post to her social media.

She stated, “Just a follow up regarding my first tweet, I’d look to put it out there regarding the Conor McGregor incident that my family and nobody else was effected by this. Multiple people had rang me with false information and this had led to this media carnage that my dad was hit, which s no such thing. the tweet was deleted an hour after when the truth came out so don’t believe everything you read or hear as its quite embarrassing that people have the time to make up such lies”

It should be noted, that despite all the accounts of the incident, Conor McGregor’s father spoke to Irish Media on Friday and also refuted these reports, stating to the Irish Mirror,

“That’s all nonsense. Absolute nonsense. It’s an absolute nonsense story.”

“It’s grown legs and it’s getting that ridiculous – it’s become funny. We have nothing to fear here whatsoever. There’s no one after us for anything. We’re a law-abiding family and we’ve stayed a law-abiding family.”

“Guards have no reason to be in touch. Why would they?”

“We’re all just settling down for Christmas now. I’ve just got the grandson’s presents in today, they just came in from America. I’ll be wrapping them, putting them under the tree for the big day. That’s it.”
