Ngannou Calls His Shot, Says Miocic Won’t Make It Out Of Round 2

UFC heavyweight Francis Ngannou is tearing through the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) at the moment. The fighter has yet to be defeated inside the octagon, with six UFC victories to his name. Overall, the fighter is now on a ten fight winning streak with his only professional loss having come back in 2013. Beyond that, as a knockout artist, Ngannou has yet to see three rounds in his mixed martial arts career. Now the fighter is calling his shot in his upcoming war for the UFC heavyweight title.

Ngannou most recently shocked the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan with a devastating first round knockout victory over former K-1 Grand Prix champion Alistair Overeem. After the fight, UFC President Dana White revealed that Ngannou had earned a shot at the UFC heavyweight belt. Now Ngannou is set to go toe-to-toe with reigning UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic at UFC 220. With that in mind, Ngannou doubts the fight will ever see the third round.

Speaking to Miesha Tate and Sean O’Connell on Sirius XM, Ngannou revealed that be believes he will be able to end the fight at will. The rising heavyweight predicts that if he lands a strike on Miocic as he did on Overeem, then the fight will be over fast.

Fans will have to wait and see what exactly goes down inside the octagon for UFC 220. The event will take place Jan. 20, 2018 inside the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts and will be available live on pay-per-view.
