Former UFC bantamweight champion Holly Holm put on a war at Saturday night’s big UFC event. While things didn’t go the former title holder’s way, and the fighter suffered some serious damage in the process, “The Preacher’s Daughter” is still all smiles after her recent loss.
The world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion was in Las Vegas, Nev. on Saturday night, Dec. 30, for UFC 219. The highly anticipated fight card featured a main event title fight between reigning featherweight champion Cris Cyborg and Holly Holm. Holm gave it her all, ultimately going the distance with the champion. However, Cyborg walked away with a unanimous decision victory for her octagon performance.
Still, both Cyborg and Holm suffered some serious damage from their 25 minute striking battle. Now Holm has decided to go to social media to share a picture of her battle worn face after the event and to let her fight fans know that she is still humble and still smiling.
