Several Last Minute Changes Announced For Next Week’s UFC Card

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is gearing up for its next big mixed martial arts event. This time around, the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion will be heading to Winnipeg, Canada for UFC on Fox 26. The event will take place inside the Bell MTS Place on Dec. 16, 2017. That being said, it would appear that the promotion has made several last minute changes to the quickly approaching UFC fight card.

Ricardo Lamas was left without an opponent when Jose Aldo elected to face Max Holloway at UFC 218 on short notice. As a result, the UFC has now pinned Josh Emmett to face off against the fighter in the night’s co-main event.

As Justin Scoggins is no longer on the fight card, Pietro Menga will now be stepping in to face Tim Elliott.

Darren Stewart has stepped up on short notice as well. The fighter will now be facing off against Julian Marquez, replacing Vitor Miranda.

Two other fighters had their opponent’s pulled from the night’s event, leaving the UFC once again in a scramble. Nordine Taleb will now be fighting Danny Roberts, as the fighter’s opponents Sultan Aliev and Sheldon Westcott are now each off the night’s card.

In the night’s main event, former UFC champions Robbie Lawler and Rafael dos Anjos are still set to face off for division dominance in front of the Winnipeg crowd at UFC on Fox 26.
