UFC Star Offers To Train Floyd Mayweather To Beat Conor In The UFC

Recently, the world has been abuzz about a potential Floyd Mayweather fight in the UFC. With a reported $1 Billion dollar offer on the table, Floyd and Dana White have confirmed the talks have been real. Now, the boxer has a bonafide current UFC champion wanting to help him prepare for whatever epic showdown happens inside the Octagon.

Taking to his desktop at TMZ, UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley made the offer to help Floyd prepare for the UFC. And at Floyd’s own admission, if he did enter the UFC, he’d eventually want to rematch Conor McGregor.

Here’s what Woodley said:

“Conor makes sense, because Conor is really a stand-up fighter. He throws some kicks. Most of those kicks are flashy kicks just to keep you off of him. But he’s not going to do anything really beyond boxing. He’s not going to be wrestling you; he’s not going to be grappling you. So, for Floyd Mayweather, if I was coming into the sport to do MMA, I would want an opponent like that: a striker. (Not) someone who’s going to wrestle him, kick him or a Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist, and he gets put in submissions, and he doesn’t even know what the hell is going on.”

In a recent interview, UFC President Dana White said there’s truth to the rumors.

“We’re talking to Floyd about doing a UFC deal. It’s real. He was talking about [boxing] Conor McGregor. Was that real? Have you heard Floyd talk about many things that aren’t real? He usually tips his hand when he’s in the media, and then that s— ends up happening. We’re interested in doing something with Floyd. Everything is a realistic possibility. Mayweather vs. McGregor f—ing happened. Anything is possible.” he continued.

Floyd Mayweather also touched more on the topic during a new interview on Wednesday night.

“If I chose to get into the UFC and fight three-fights or fight four fights and then fight Conor McGregor I can make a Billion Dollars. You know, fight three or four fights and then fight Conor McGregor in the octagon. We just don’t know what the future holds for Floyd Mayweather.”

“I’m just saying I could. I’m not going to do it. But I’m saying what I could do is make a billion dollars quick. I never said I was going to fight in the UFC. I never said that. Could and would do are two different things. I’m not going to do it though.” said Mayweather.
