A World Champion, And Olympian, D.C. Still Looking For His Mother’s Approval

Daniel Cormier has put on a storied career as a world-class athlete. With that in mind, it would appear that the UFC light heavyweight champion is still happy to know what his mother thinks of his accomplishments.

Before fighting, Cormier was a talented wrestler. After competing in the Olympics, Cormier would go on to form a budding career in the sport of mixed martial arts. Eventually making his way to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), Cormier has put on a dominant performance as the promotion’s light heavyweight champion.

Taking to Instagram, Cormier has decided to take a look back at some of his biggest fights under the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion. Asking his mother if she is proud of his accomplishments, Cormier stated over the social media platform:

“#fbf to @Ufc 192 after fighting with Alexander Gustafson. Nothing feels better than sharing these moments with the ones you truly love. Mom, did I make you proud? Can’t wait to experience this again @peechypie #ufc220 #family #momma #wifey #cormiers”

Daniel Cormier is not set to defend his light heavyweight title once again as the champion is set to face off against Volkan Oezdemir. The fight will go down at UFC 220 on Jan. 20, 2018. The event will be featured live on pay-per-view, as it takes place inside the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.
