Conor McGregor

UFC superstar Conor McGregor has shocked the world on multiple occasions throughout his mixed martial arts career. The fighter knockout out Jose Aldo for the featherweight title in legendary fashion. The fighter would then go on to top his knockout performance with a stoppage over Eddie Alvarez that secured McGregor’s place as the first and only fighter to ever simultaneously hold two UFC titles. Throughout it all, “Notorious” has gained a reputation as living a more lavish lifestyle with his massive winnings, sometimes putting on massive parties in celebration of his successful fighting career. However, it would appear that the fighter’s New Year celebrations did not go quite as planned.

McGregor recently took to Instagram to share a story about his New Year’s Eve with his fans. In the social media post, “Notorious” revealed many of his family members were hospitalized with the Australian flu virus. McGregor has since removed the Instagram post from the social media platform, but the message from the post can be read down below.

“Well that was a wild New Year’s Eve,” he wrote. “Half the family hit with the Australian flu virus and some even left in hospital with it. I’ve never even been to Australia wtf!”

“Big New Year’s Eve party cancelled at the last minute and I am left shaking in bed the past two days. I’ll leave that with the rest of the bad behind me in 2017 and take with me the many great experiences I’ve had this year! None greater than the birth of my son Conor Jr and the continued support of my family, my friends and my dedicated staff through thick and thin.”
