Dana White Denies Woodley’s Request To Welcome Nate Diaz Back To The UFC

UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley has an extreme desire to fight an actual UFC star.

He’s faced Robbie Lawler, Rory MacDonald, and Stephen ‘Wonderyboy’ Thompson, most notably. But, he has yet to find his “it” guy, to build is own name off of.

There’s not many fighters out there for him either.

GSP, Nate Diaz, Nick Diaz, and Conor McGregor have all spent time in the UFC’s welterweight division, though none of them are presenly active, and Woodley wants to fight a star.

Without any viable options, and with Nate’s recent statement that he wants to return this year, Woodley made another effort to try and face a Diaz brother.

It didn’t work.

In a new interview with TMZ, Dana White said, “The reality is there’s real guys like Rafael dos Anjos, guys in line waiting for that fight,” White said about Woodley. “There’s so many guys that deserve that fight before Nate does and they’re gonna get it.”
