Replay: Elkins Ruins Michael Johnson’s Featherweight Debut, Stops Him In Round 2 | UFC Results

The world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion is visiting St. Louis, Missouri tonight, Jan. 14, for a highly anticipated night of fights. The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is in the Scottrade Center for UFC Fight Night 124, offering fight fans a card full of exciting match ups.

Next up for the night, Darren Elkins and Michael Johnson are kicking things off for main card of UFC Fight Night 124. The UFC results from the two mixed martial arts warriors’ octagon war can be seen down below.

The opening round kicked off at a brutal pace, as Elkins and Johnson met in the center of the octagon for a furious exchange. Elkins was stunned by a right hand from Johnson. But, neither fighter seemed willing to back down from the exchange.

Elkins and Johnson continued to brawl halfway through the first round, dishing out power shots through and through. Elkins’ nose began to bleed, as the fighter continued to sustain brutal jabs from his opponent.

Johnson began to walk down the fighter and push the pace of the fight within the final minute of the round. However, Elkins retaliated with a strong counter and a flurry of punches.

It was seemingly a dominant round for Johnson.

Early in the second round, Elkins made his way to the canvas with Johnson. From the top position, Elkins began to pummel his opponent with a series of ground and pound.

Elkins managed to take the back of Johnson and lock in a body triangle over the fighter. Sinking in a rear-naked choke, Elkins brought a stop to the contest for a submission victory.
