Gabi Garcia Says She Can Finish Conor McGregor

Things have not been going well for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu phenom Gabi Garcia as of late. The heavyweight mixed martial artist was initially set to face off against Shinobu Kandori at the Rizin World Grand Prix 2017. However, the fight never came to fruition.

Garcia came to the fight’s weigh-ins a grand total of 26 pounds over weight for the match. Had the fight gone on as planned, Garcia would have had a total 75 pound weight advantage over her opponent. Rather, the fight was pulled from the event. Following the incident, Garcia offered a tear filled apology to the Saitama crowd. Falling to her knees, the fighter pleaded with the local fight fans for her recent weight management issue.

Still, in a recent interview, Garcia revealed that she believes she can take on UFC superstar Conor McGregor if given the chance. After all, Garcia does hold an undefeated record with four victories to her name.

Most professional fighters are looking to get a match up with UFC pay-per-view king Conor McGregor. The UFC megastar has put on a storied career in the sport of mixed martial arts and beyond. Most recently, “Notorious” earned a staggering $100 million in his professional boxing debut in a match up against Floyd Mayweather Jr. That being said, Gabi Garcia believes she could stand and battle it out with the UFC superstar if given the opportunity.

Speaking to TMZ Sports, Garcia had the following the say about a possible match up against McGregor.

“He’s a very good fighter. If the guys offer me a fight with him, then of course.”
