Born on May 19, 1981 in Quebec Canada,Georges St-Pierre is UFC’s current Welterweight Champion after having been named by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter as the Most Outstanding Fighter from 2008 to 2010. In 2009, he became a recipient of the Fighter of the Year Award.

Georges St-Pierre had his first fight at the age of 7. According to him, he was bullied during that time, and he wasn’t popular. He began learning karate from his father and in 2001, he started fighting professionally. He dropped out of school to get a title match against Matt Hughes , only to lose later. Two years later, he defeated Matt Hughes via TKO.

When he was 29 years old, it was Georges St-Pierre’s goal to become the world’s best pound-for-pound mixed martial artist of all time.

This Canadian athlete is a pro-fighter for 8 years now and he has plans of returning to school someday to study paleontology. Currently single, he also desires to get married someday and have 5 kids.
