After Training With Volkan, Rockhold Says, ‘I don’t think he’s on D.C.’s Level’

Aaahhh… if the tides haven’t turned, as Luke Rockhold takes his proper place alongside Daniel Cormier this weekend, ahead of the UFC 220 co-main event.

Much has been made of Rockhold training with Daniel Cormier’s upcoming in opponent, Volkan Oezdemir, but last night Luke hit his social media and picked a side.

Fair play to Volkan but y’all know who my ninja is. #ufc220 #kungfupanda

Offering some rare insight, only he can provide, having spent time at length training with the two men involved in tonight’s UFC 220 co-main event, Luke has not only picked sides, he’s also predicted a winner.

Rockhold calls D.C.’s AKA home, but has spent much of his time as of late training in South Florida alongside Volkan.

Luke has picked up some things about both fighters, and tells Mike Swick that he really doesn’t think Volkan is on D.C.’s level.

It’s an interesting turn of events for the UFC title challenger, as his new teammate is picking against him.
