UFC competitors have come forward with their reactions to Daniel Cormier’s big win in Boston, Massachusetts.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) was in Boston, Massachusetts on Saturday night, Jan. 20, for UFC 220. The exciting night of fights hosted a series of exciting match ups inside the TD Garden.
In the night’s co-main event, UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier faced off against tough contender Volkan Oezdemir in an octagon war. This time around, Cormier put on a dominant performance for the Boston crowd.
The UFC light heavyweight champion nearly earned a finish in the first round, sinking in a rear-naked choke attempt over Oezdemir in the final moments of the round. However, Cormier was unable to get the finish.
In the second round, Cormier cemented his victory with some brutal ground and pound that earned the fighter a TKO win. Now UFC fighters have taken to Twitter to offer their thoughts on the match up.
