Fighters from the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) have decided to offer their reactions to the recent news of the super fight between Daniel Cormier and Stipe Miocic.
UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier and and UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic each put on dominant displays inside the octagon at UFC 220. Cormier earned a TKO finish over tough contender Volkan Oezdemir, while Miocic locked in a unanimous decision victory over rising knockout artist Francis Ngannou.
Following the event UFC President Dana White revealed his interest in seeing Cormier move up in weight to challenge Miocic for his belt. Cormier was initially a heavyweight competitor in his own right, after all.
Now it has been reported that the super fight between the two champions has been made official. Cormier and Miocic will battle it out for the heavyweight title at UFC 226. The event will take place July 7, during International Fight Wee, in Las Vegas, Nev.
