The UFC Reportedly Blocked McGregor From Trash-Talking Holloway And Aldo

It would appear that the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has blocked Conor McGregor, when concerning Jose Aldo or Max Holloway, from trash-talking.

Former UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo

UFC superstar Conor McGregor shocked the world when he knocked out Jose Aldo for the featherweight title. “Notorious” went on to make UFC history with a stunning finish over Eddie Alvarez, making McGregor simultaneously the lightweight and featherweight champion of the UFC.

With that in mind, some of McGregor’s best moments have come from outside of the cage. A talented trash-talker, “Notorious” has brought a new level of mental warfare to the sport of mixed martial arts.

However, the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion has since decided to restrain McGregor’s mental games when it comes to two top featherweight fighters.

According to a source close to McGregor, “Notorious” was not permitted to say anything negative concerning the winner of Holloway and Aldo’s featherweight title fight at UFC 212.

As part of the fighter’s agreement to face Floyd Mayweather inside the squared circle, McGregor agreed to not mock any champions in the UFC featherweight or lightweight division.

The UFC made him agree to this in order to legitimize those divisions with Conor McGregor being absent.
