Thursday afternoon the Brazilian media revealed that Anderson Silva had tested positive for synthetic Testosterone, and a diuretic known as methyltestosterone.
As a result, if USADA decides to charge him with their ‘aggravated circumstances clause’, the UFC legend could be facing up to an eight year suspension from competition. And at 42-years-old, that’s a career ending sentence.
Sadly, when you add up his prior indiscretions on the drug testing front, Silva has now failed four drug tests since 2015, and these aren’t innocent marijuana busts.
It has now been revealed that over the course of the last 2.5 years, the UFC middleweight legend has failed for Androsterone, Drostanolone, Temazepam, Oxazepam, and most recently, synthetic Testosterone, and methyltestosterone.
That’s Chael Sonnen level cocktails of PEDs.
It’s a sad state of affairs, but Anderson Silva just released the following statement of hope and positivity.
He did not address these latest accusations head on, but instead explains how he’s not perfect, and no one is.
Check it out:
Who am I to talk about imperfection and other people’s faults?
I’m as imperfect as they are.
but perhaps it is the imperfection of each one that makes them in a certain way, so perfect for other people.
Kiss in my heart, my people.

Quem sou eu para falar da imperfeição e defeitos de outras pessoa ? Sou tão imperfeitos quanto elas mas talvez seja a imperfeição de cada um que os tornam de uma certa forma,tão perfeitos para outras pessoas. Boa-noite meu povo
