Ariel Helwani Is “Annoyed” With Floyd Mayweather’s Octagon Videos, Here’s Why

For the past two days, boxing’s pound for pound king Floyd Mayweather has caused an uproar in the combat sports world, with two seperate videos of himself in the Octagon.

The videos were both shot at the world renowned Syndicate MMA in Las Vegas, and in the first one Floyd was seen walking into the cage, and then pacing back and forth as if to staredown an opponent.

Yesterday, Mayweather released a second video, this time addressing the camera directly, and stating, “2018, Floyd “Money” Mayweather, MMA. What are the odds Paddy? What are the odds?”

And while most of the world got excited about this series of videos, as they are indeed meant to raise the question if Floyd will take Dana White’s Billion Dollar offer to come fight in the UFC, one infamous journalist colored himself “Annoyed”.

MMA’s multiple time recipient of Journalist of the Year, Ariel Helwani took to twitter, and asked his legion of followers if they too were annoyed with Floyd’s videos.

Here’s what he said:

Am I the only one who is annoyed by the fact he isn’t wearing MMA gloves? If you’re gonna go through the trouble of getting this done with the shorts and no shoes might as well get the branded gloves, no? Just feels less authentic this way. Details, Floyd, details!
