Gustafsson’s Not Backing Down, Roasts D.C. In New Clap Back

Following former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold’s recent knockout loss to Yoel Romero, light heavyweight contender Alexander Gustafsson quickly called out the former title holder. Now Gustafsson has come forward with a response after entering a social media exchange with the fighter’s teammate.

Taking to Instagram, Gustafsson first offered Rockhold an invitation to move up to the light heavyweight division to face him.

“@lukerockhold , your teammate is holding MY Division hostage, and you think there are only easy fights at LHW. If u think Romero hits hard, then wait till you come to the big boys. I want @dc_mma , and knocking u out will keep me warm in the meantime. Beware of coming up in weight because I will be standing at the front door waiting.”

Following the statement, UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier offered a heated response. Cormier is a teammate to Luke Rockhold at American Kickboxing Academy and a former opponent to Alexander Gustafsson.

“Nice timing Alexander(kick him while he’s down huh). I got a better idea tho he doesn’t fight you next. He fights Robert Whitaker, I mean sometimes that happens right. You lose your way into a title shot! #thegustafsonway”

Now Gustafsson has come forward with a heated message for the UFC light heavyweight champion. Check it out below:

“That left kick always seems to be on point.. You r the Olympic wrestler here, not me and still I took u down @dc_mma Last time I checked your the one that got dropped.

“Yeah luke might loose hes way into a title, it can happen, like you lost your way back to your belt…….? Christmas came early for you last year!”
