Hype Train Over, As Mike Perry Gets Thoroughly Destroyed On FOX Main Card

UFC knockout artist Mike Perry is now stepping inside the octagon for his next big UFC performance. The welterweight warrior will be looking to rebound from a recent decision loss to Santiago Ponzinibbio as he faces off against Max Griffin at UFC on FOX 28 in his home state.

UFC on FOX 28 is going down Saturday night, Feb. 24, inside the Amway Center in Orlando, Fla. Check out the UFC results from Perry and Griffin’s octagon war down below.

The first round between “Platinum” Mike Perry and Max Griffin fired off with a grueling series of stand up exchanges. Griffin opened a cut on Perry’s head early in the fight, but the wound did not appear to be bothering Perry’s vision or performance.

Griffin managed to take Perry to the ground, but Perry made it back to his feet and reversed the position. The round ended with Perry in the dominant mount position over his opponent.

Griffin returned in the second round with a vengeance. Perry’s cut quickly opened back up, causing blood to seep into the fighter’s face.

Griffin rocked Perry with a right hand, before pummeling the fighter into the cage. Perry was seemingly saved by the bell, as the fighter did not appear to have an answer for his opponent’s striking. This was a dominant round for Griffin.

Griffin and Perry went to war in the final round. Perry threw caution into the wind and began delivering bombs to his opponent. The Florida native appeared to be getting the better of Griffin in the striking within the final round. However, Perry was unable to get a finish before the end of the fight.

This one has gone the distance.
