The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is in Belem, Brazil for UFC Fight Night 125. With the main card for the night now set to go down, here is a look at the UFC results.

Kicking off the night’s main card, middleweights Thiago Santos and Anthony Smith are throwing down for the Belem crowd.

The first round kicked off at a methodical pace, as each fighter took a moment to gauge the range and power of their opponent. However, things quickly heated up as Santos was pressured into the fence by Smith.

Smith then managed to blast Santos with a brutal strike, seemingly rocking the fighter. The two mixed martial arts warriors then found themselves on the canvas, with Santos making his way to Smith’s full guard.

With a minute left in the round, Smith made his way back to his feet and unloaded a flurry on his opponent. However Santos countered with a right hand that stunned the fighter and sent him backpedaling.

Smith managed to survive the round, but suffered some serious damage from his opponent.

Smith opened up the second round with a vengeance, pushing the pace on Santos. However Santos retaliated with a body kick that sent Smith to the canvas. The referee saw enough and put a stop to the contest.

Notably, with this latest knockout win, Santos just broke Anderson Silva’s knockout record in the UFC’s middleweight division.
