Rockhold Scuffles, Gets Physical With Romero, After Yoel Misses Weight For Championship Bout

And this is why we love the real weigh-ins, instead of the new age early morning version.

Fighters hit the scale right there on the spot, make or miss weight, and stare down full of intensity for the world to see.

In the case of today’s UFC 221 weigh-ins, main event fighter Yoel Romero missed weight by three pounds. And though he’ll have two hours to cut the additional pounds, former UFC champion Luke Rockhold didn’t take kindly to the infraction.

Luke got mouthy with his opponent after he learned of his weight, and was then forced to stare down with him. Then that mouthiness turned to physically touching, turned to nearly a full blown scuffle.

The UFC brass did their job to break up the action before things got carried away, but these two are ready to fight.
