That Time A UFC Heavyweight Tried To Punk Nate Diaz Backstage, Then Regretted It

Former UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub and UFC superstar Nate Diaz had an altercation backstage of the Mayweather vs. McGregor fight. However, the heated verbal confrontation did not quite go Schaub’s way.

Nate Diaz has formed one of the most entertaining rivalries within the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). The superstar choked out Conor McGregor back in 2016, with “Notorious” scrapping by with a close decision victory in their rematch.

Now 1-1 in their heated rivalry, fight fans have been longing for a potentially UFC pay-per-view record breaking trilogy rematch between Diaz and McGregor. When McGregor suffered a TKO loss in his professional boxing debut against Floyd Mayweather Jr., Diaz was backstage and not holding back when asked how be believed the fight went.

Brendan Schaub, who had been promoting McGregor’s odds leading into the match up, entered a verbal confrontation with Diaz, as Diaz explained to the former heavyweight that Mayweather was allegedly taking it easy on “Notorious.”
