Brian Ortega Confesses To Having A 20 Pounds Weight Advantage Over Frankie Edgar

Undefeated mixed martial arts phenom Brian Ortega shocked the world with a stunning first round finish over former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar over the weekend. Now the fighter has come forward to reveal that he had a massive weight advantage over the former title hodler on fight night.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) hosted UFC 222 on Saturday night, March 3. The highly anticipated event took place inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev. and was featured live on pay-per-view for fight fans worldwide.

Co-headlining the night’s event, Frankie “The Answer” Edgar went toe-to-toe with Brian Ortega for division dominance. Edgar was initially set to face off against Max Holloway for the UFC featherweight title.

However, Holloway was forced to pull out of the title fight due to an injury. Still, Ortega pulled off a stunning performance when faced with the former champion.

Edgar had never been finished ahead of UFC 222, with Ortega earning a first round knockout victory over “The Answer” on Saturday night. Speaking after the exciting match up, Ortega revealed that he weighed 164 pounds on fight night. Ortega’s fight weight gave the competitor up to a stunning 20 pound weight advantage over his opponent.
