Cat Zingano Puts On Gutsy Performance, Loses To Vieira In PPV Opener | UFC Results

Women’s UFC bantamweight Cat Zingano is taking to the octagon for her big UFC return tonight, March 3. The mixed martial arts phenom is kicking off the main card for the highly anticipated event of UFC 222.

The fight card is going down live on pay-per-view for fight fans worldwide and inside the T-Mobile Arena for the Las Vegas, Nev. crowd. Zingano has taken out some of the toughest fighters in the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion during her career.

The fighter finished former women’s UFC bantamweight champion Miesha Tate, before getting a stoppage over now reigning title holder Amanda Nunes. Now the fighting phenom is making her octagon return to face off against Ketlen Vieira for UFC 222. Check out the UFC results from the exciting bout below.

The first round opened with a furry. Zingano pushed the pace, delivering bombs to her opponent. The fighter managed to take Vieira down early in the fight, but Vieira retaliated with a takedown of her own in the final minutes of the round.

The second round quickly turned into a grappling exchange, as Vieira earned a takedown over her opponent. The two mixed martial arts warriors battle it out on the canvas, with Zingano managing to defend herself from suffering much significant damage during the round.

The final round fired off with a brawl. Zingano seemed to suffer an injury during the exchange. Still, the fighter continued to compete and dish out some damage with her MMA prowess.

This one has gone the distance.
