Diego Sanchez Makes Public Plea To Conor McGregor, To Help Change The UFC

UFC veteran and mixed martial arts phenom Diego Sanchez is now interested in seeing the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) form a new weight class for male competitors. The fighter has even reached out to UFC superstar Conor McGregor in hopes of seeing the division made.

“Notorious” has competed in a collection of weight classes, the fighter is a former 145 pound UFC champion and reigning 155 pound champion. McGregor has event competed at 170 pounds. With that in mind, the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion does not have a 165 pound weight class for male competitors.

In a recent report, Conor McGregor allegedly asked for a 165 pound division be created for the UFC. Now Diego Sanchez is hoping to stoke that fire and see the division made.

Taking to Instagram, Sanchez reached out to McGregor in hopes that the champion will speak with UFC President Dana White about seeing the division made.

“@thenotoriousmma come on brother we need 165lb weight you have the power with @ufc and @danawhite to make it happen!”
