Well, the time has finally come. Former UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum is now set to headline UFC Fight Night 127 in an octagon battle with Alexander Volkov.
UFC Fight Night 127 is going tonight this evening, March 17, inside the O2 Arena in London, England. With the fight card now down to it’s final match, Werdum and Volkov are stepping inside the octagon for a heavyweight war. Check out the UFC results down below.
The first round opened up at a slower pace, as Werdum took his opponent down early in the fight. Volkov managed to get back to his feet and dish out some damage to the former title holder, but Werdum retaliated with another takedown.
The second round was a dominant performance for Werdum. The former champion managed to get Volkov to the canvas early on, beating down the fighter with some vicious ground and pound. Volkov attempted to get back to his feet, but was unable to overcome the BJJ phenom.
Volkov returned with a vengeance in the final round, blooding Werdum’s face with a series of punches. Still, the former champion did not back down. The two mixed martial arts warriors continued to trade for the London crowd until the sound of the bell.
