Do We Have A Fight? UFC Welterweight Claims To Be Sage Northcutt’s Next Opponent

UFC lightweight Sage Northcutt may only be 22-years-old, but the fighter has already quickly sprouted into a mixed martial arts phenom. Now a fighter from a heavier weight class is hinting to a possible match up against the Team Alpha Male member.

Sage Northcutt remains undefeated within the UFC’s lightweight division. The fighter most recently faced off against Thibault Gouti, earning a unanimous decision victory over the fighter.

With that in mind, Northcutt has not always competed as a lightweight. Within the octagon, “Super” Sage moved up to the welterweight division for two different fights. The fighter faced Bryan Barberena and Mickey Gall within the heavier weight class.

UFC welterweight Jake Matthews has since gone to social media to announce that he has a fight booked. While the fighter did not initially state his upcoming opponent, Matthews has since offered a hefty hint that he may be facing Sage Northcutt next.

“I’m booked. @ufc”

After posting his fight announcement, Matthews would go on to favorite the following message. The message claims that Jake Matthews will be facing off against the Team Alpha Male warrior for his upcoming match up.

While the fight has yet to be officially announced, it would appear that Sage Northcutt may be making another move to the welterweight class in the near future.
