WBC heavyweight title was on the line over the weekend, as Deontay Wilder went toe-to-toe with Luis Ortiz in a battle for the belt. With the fight now in the books, the time has come to take a look at some of the night’s highlights.
WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder arguably had never faced an opponent quite as tasking as Luis Ortiz before Saturday, March 3. However, the pugilist phenom certainly had his hands full come fight night.
Ortiz managed to rock Wilder on a few occasions, seemingly getting the better of his opponent. However, Wilder retaliated near the end of the match with a flurry of blows that ultimately put Ortiz down for the count.
