UFC 223 Loses Big Lightweight Scrap, Following Fighter Pull Out

It would appear that the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has lost a match up for one of the promotion’s upcoming fight cards. This time around, UFC 223 has lost an interesting bout.

UFC 223 is set to go down April 7 inside the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. In the night’s main event, interim UFC lightweight champion Tony Ferguson will be facing off against top contender Khabib Nurmagomedov in a war for the undisputed title.

Initially also on the night’s card, lightweights Mairbek Taisumov and Evan Dunham were set to face off for division dominance. However, Taisumov has since been pulled from the fight.

As reported by mmanytt.com, Taisumov’s visa has been delayed. As a result, the fighter has been removed from the bout.

The UFC is now scrambling to find a replacement opponent for Evan Dunham, with the fight night quickly growing closer.
