VanZant Predicts Rose vs. Joanna II: ‘Thug Rose Beat Me Up Real Bad, So … ‘

Women’s UFC flyweight Paige VanZant recently appeared for a short Q&A to offer her fight fans a few words. During the session, “12 Gauge” was asked her opinion on former opponent Rose Namajunas’ upcoming rematch against Joanna Jedrzejczyk. Now the fighter’s response has made its way onto the internet.

Rose Namajunas earned the women’s UFC strawweight title with a stunning finish over formerly undefeated champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk at UFC 217. Now Jedrzejczyk and Namajunas are set to face off in an immediate rematch at UFC 223.

Of course, Namajunas has also faced off against Paige VanZant in the past. The two threw down back in 2015, with Namajunas earning a submission victory in the fifth and final round of their fight.

Speaking in a recent Q&A, Paige VanZant revealed that she believes Namajunas may pull out a win all over again when she faces off against Jedrzejczyk.

“I went five rounds with Rose.” VanZant stated. “She did beat me up, that’s totally true too. So, I’m really excited for the fight. I definitely am. I want to see what happens. But I kind of think the same outcome could come again from that fight. I kind of see Rose taking it.”
