Weidman Exposes Fake UFC Sponsor Props In The Cage … By Accident

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has locked in a sponsorship deal with Monster Energy, meaning cans of the popular energy drink are never far when the camera is on the promotion’s fighters. With that in mind, former UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman has come forward to reveal that all is not what it seems.

Chris Weidman recently pulled himself out of a tough three fight losing streak by taking out Kelvin Gastelum for a third round submission victory by way of arm-triangle choke. The two mixed martial arts warriors threw down back at UFC on FOX 25, putting on a dazzling show in the night’s main event.

In the post-fight press conference, as seen within the video above, Weidman attempted to drink from a nearby can of Monster Energy. However, the fighter quickly realized that the can was actually empty.

Weidman then revealed that he was also given an empty can of Monster Energy inside the octagon that night. Check it out within the video above.
