Bellator 198: Tom Angeloff vs. Sultan Umar Fight To A Decision [Spoiler Free]

Rosemont, Illinois is hosting a stunning night of fights on Saturday, April 28. Mixed martial arts promotion Bellator MMA is in the city’s Allstate Arena to host the highly anticipated fight card of Bellator 198.

Continuing the night of fights, welterweights Tom Angeloff and Sultan Umar are throwing down for the Rosemont crowd on the night’s preliminary card. The Bellator results from the exciting fight can be seen below.

The first round fired off at a swift pace. Angeloff managed to get a few precise shots on his opponent. But, Umar rushed the fighter into the fence and entered a clinch position for much of the round. This one will be a tough five minutes for the judges.

The second round went largely in Umar’s favor. The fighter managed to control much of the match during the stand up, seemingly getting the better of Angeloff in the exchanges. However, neither competitor was able to manage a finish before the sound of the bell.

The final round opened at a slower pace. Neither fighter appeared terribly gassed, but seemed to be suffering some fatigue from their ten minutes of brawling.

Angeloff began to increase his frequency of strikes in the final minutes of the fight, but Umar appeared to still be getting the better of his opponent.

Umar managed to get his opponent to the canvas in the final moments of the round, but failed to get a finish before the sound of the bell. This one has gone the distance.
