Dana White Says Conor Showing No Remorse, Isn’t Sorry For Yesterday’s Devastating Attack On UFC 223

A fracas took place inside a parking garage on Thursday night, ending in the injury of multiple individuals and the removal of three fights from UFC 223’s card. Following Conor McGregor’s alleged involvement in the incident, UFC President Dana White has come forward to claim that “Notorious” is not showing much remorse concerning the outcome.

Many of the fighters for UFC 223, including some of the competitors’ team members, were on a bus within a parking garage following the UFC media day on Thursday. A group of individuals allegedly led by UFC superstar Conor McGregor were reportedly allowed access into the parking garage by credentialled media members of McGregor’s own The Mac Life.

Members of the group, allegedly including McGregor, then attacked the bus with a series of objects. Videos of McGregor allegedly smashing a window of the bus with a dolly are now making their way around the internet.

The dolly striking the bus window caused debilitating injuries to several within the vehicle, including fighters Michael Chiesa and Ray Borg. The target of the attack has reportedly been cited as undefeated UFC lightweight contender Khabib Nurmagomedov.

The fighter entered an altercation with Conor McGregor’s friend and teammate Artem Lobov within a hotel room days earlier, potentially motivating McGregor’s alleged involvement.

Speaking to ESPN, UFC President Dana White revealed that Conor McGregor is not remorseful concerning the incident, outside of any damage caused to fighters other than Nurmagomedov.

“No. He said he was apologetic toward Rose, because Rose Namajunas was very upset. Obviously Michael Chiesa… he didn’t know at the time that Ray Borg was hurt too. He was apologetic about the people that he wasn’t trying to hurt, but he felt like the Khabib thing had to be done.”
