Despite Lack Of Accomplishments, UFC Puts CM Punk On The Official UFC 225 Poster

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has revealed the official poster for the highly anticipated UFC 225 event. To many fans’ surprise, Phil Brooks made an appearance on the poster.

UFC 225 will air live on pay-per-view come June 9. The event will take place inside the United Center on Chicago, Illinois, featuring a series of stunning match ups.

UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker will face off against Yoel Romero in a highly anticipated main event title fight rematch. Former lightweight title holder Rafael dos Anjos and Colby Covington battle it out for the UFC interim welterweight title in the co-headliner for the evening.

With all of that in mind, the mixed martial arts promotion has elected to include Phil Brooks, better known by his WWE moniker CM Punk, and opponent Mike Jackson on the official poster for the event as well.

Brooks suffered a lopsided submission loss to Mickey Gall in his octagon debut back in 2016, sending the fighter back to the drawing board for nearly two years. Now Punk is set to face off against Mike Jackson, another fighter to lose to Mickey Gall in their octagon debut, at UFC 225.
