“Eye Meat” — Frankie Edgar Reveals Grotesque Eye Injury Suffered In Weekend Co-Main Event

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) put on another exhilarating night of fights over the weekend. Former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar pulled himself out of a stunning knockout loss to Brian Ortega with a dazzling performance, but that victory came at a cost.

The world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion hosted the highly anticipated fight card of UFC Fight Night 128 on Saturday, April 21, in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Co-headlining the night’s event, former title holder Frankie Edgar went toe-to-toe with tough contender Cub Swanson in a featherweight war for division supremacy.

Edgar was coming off of a tough knockout defeat to Brian Ortega, making for the first time in his career that “The Answer” was ever finished. However, Edgar put on a stunning performance over Swanson on Saturday, earning a unanimous decision victory over his opponent.
