Ferguson’s A Savage, Resumes Training Straight Out Of Surgery … On One Leg

It would appear that former UFC interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson is already back to training following his brutal leg injury ahead of UFC 223. Now the fighter has taken to social media to share a photo from his latest workout.

“El Cucuy” was initially set to face off against Khabib Nurmagomedov in the main event of UFC 223. The two mixed martial arts phenoms were locked in to battle it out for the undisputed UFC lightweight title. However, like the three times before that these two have been scheduled to fight, the match was ultimately cancelled.

Just six days from the fight, Ferguson tripped over a cable during a media event and brutally tore his LCL. The fighter was pulled from the title match, stripped of his interim belt and ultimately underwent surgery for his injury.

Still in a cast, Ferguson is now dishing out repetitions for a dumbbell workout to stay active. Check it out in the Instagram post below:
