Jon Jones Explains How He Tricked Lie Detector Test, Says It “Doesn’t Count”

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones is currently awaiting the verdict of the United States Anti-Doping Agency within relation to a failed drug test. Having just been dealt a hefty fine and the cancellation of his fighting license from the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) concerning the matter, “Bones” Jones has come forward to comment on his passed polygraph test.

Jon Jones made his big octagon return, coming off of a year-long suspension from a previous drug test failure, at UFC 214. However, the fighter’s return was short lived.

After knockout out heated rival and reigning UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier at the event, Jones was once again stripped of his title and the victory was overturned to a no contest. Jones failed a drug test for UFC 214.

Jones would go on to take a polygraph test in an attempt to prove his innocence ahead of his CSAC hearing. While the fighter passed the test, Jones would go on to have his license for competition suspended and received a hefty $205,000 fine.

Taking to Twitter, the mixed martial artist has now come forward to comment on a fight fan’s statement concerning the polygraph test. Check it out below:

“Yeah but when you are an all-time great, you suddenly get Jedi mind powers over that type of stuff, doesn’t count”

USADA has yet to provide a decision concerning Jones’ most recent drug test failure, but the fighter could potentially see a hefty suspension from the UFC’s anti-doping watch dogs.
