Karolina Ends Herrig’s Hype Train, Dominates Felice | UFC Results

Brooklyn, New York’s Barclays Center is hosting another exciting night of fights on Saturday, April 7. This time around, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is in New York for the highly anticipated fight card of UFC 223. Now the fight card is set to show off the night’s featured preliminary match.

Headlining the night’s preliminary card, women’s UFC strawweights Felice Herrig and Karolina Kowalkiewicz are throwind down for division dominance. Check out the UFC results from the night’s featured prelim down below.

The fight fired off at a blistering pace, as Herrig and Kowalkiewicz entered a stand up war. Herrig largely defended her opponent’s takedowns, but eventually found herself on the canvas. Back on her feet without having suffered too much damage, “Lil Bulldog” managed to pummel her opponent with some punishing strikes before the end of the round.

Kowalkiewicz opened up the second round with a vengeance, punishing Herrig with a series of strikes. “Lil Bulldog” attempted to take her opponent down multiple times, but Kowalkiewicz was able to keep it on the feet.

This was seemingly a dominant round for Kowalkiewicz.

The final round was a war. Keeping it standing, the two mixed martial artists battled it out with a final five minute of striking. Kowalkiewicz appeared to be getting the better of her opponent in many of the exchanges. However, the fighter was unable to get a finish before the end of the round.
