Rory MacDonald And Ben Askren Get In A Lengthy And Heated Twitter Dispute, A Fight Could Be Next

Former ONE Championship welterweight title holder Ben Askren retired from the sport of mixed martial arts undefeated. While the welterweight champion has hung up his gloves, Askren continues to campaign for a shot at multiple fighters.

Initially, Askren marketed himself for a possible super fight against Georges St-Pierre. The French-Canadian phenom is a former two-division UFC champion, having earned a reputation as one of the greatest MMA fighters of all time through his dominant title run in the UFC’s welterweight division.

After failing to lock down a super fight against St-Pierre, Askren moved his sights briefly to newly crowned UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov. However, “The Eagle” has yet to show much interest in the match up.

Now Askren has entered a heated altercation with Bellator welterweight champion Rory MacDonald over social media. It would appear that a match up between the two welterweights may be in the works. Check it out below:
