With Last Minute Changes, Here’s Your Updated UFC 223 Fight Card

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) was put into a bit of a scramble over the weekend, as Tony Ferguson pulled out of his incipient title fight. Following the recent changes to the promotion’s upcoming event, here is a look at the updated fight card.

UFC interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson and undefeated division contender Khabib Nurmagomedov were set on a collision course for UFC 223. The two mixed martial artists were locked in for a title fight in the night’s main event.

However, “El Cucuy” tore his LCL just six days ahead of the fight. UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway has since stepped up and accepted a severely short notice offer to move up in weight and challenge Nurmagomedov for the lightweight title.

Now Holloway and “The Eagle” will be battling it out in the main event for UFC 223. The highly anticipated fight night goes down on Saturday, April 7, inside the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
