Overeem Just Realized The UFC Chose CM Punk Over Him For The PPV Card In Chicago

Former K-1 Grand Prix champion Alistair Overeem is set to make his next big octagon performance on the highly anticipated fight card of UFC 225. After hearing the news that his match up will no longer be on the live pay-per-view main card, Overeem has come forward with a response.

UFC 225 is set to go down June 9 inside the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. Overeem was initially set to face off against Curtis Blaydes on the night’s main card.

However, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has since announced that the fight has been shifted to the night’s preliminary card. Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm will be taking on former Invicta FC featherweight title holder Megan Anderson on the night’s main card instead.

Taking to Instagram, Overeem offered the following humorous post in reaction to the news:

“I’m coming to destroy and cash in. I don’t care that much about the fight card but this one is funny!”
