Dana White Makes First Comments On Chuck Liddell’s Un-Retirement, And He’s Pissed!

UFC Hall of Famer Chuck Liddell has not competed inside the octagon in nearly eight years. With that in mind, the 48-year-old mixed martial arts veteran has decide to announce the end of his retirement. Now UFC President Dana White has come forward with his thoughts on the matter.

Chuck Liddell recently revealed that he has been in talks with Golden Boy Promotion’s Oscar De La Hoya, who is seemingly interested in starting a mixed martial arts promotion. “The Iceman” has since come out of retirement and revealed that he is interested in a trilogy rematch against fellow former UFC light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz.

Speaking at the recent UFC Fight Night 130 event, UFC President Dana White offered his thoughts on the matter.

“I said this before. I hope he’s coming out of retirement to be partners with De La Hoya, and not to fight. I hope he doesn’t fight.”

“… Oscar De La Arum is not that bright. I don’t know what he’s thinking. Hopefully Chuck is going to be his business partner and not fight.

“The last thing I want to do is sh*t on Chuck Liddell because I love him. But, I asked him to retire 10 years ago for a reason.”
