ESPN Demotes Ronda Rousey And Anderson Silva, Promotes McGregor As UFC’s Last Star Standing

While former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor has not stepped inside the octagon since 2016, the Ireland native is still climbing his way up to notoriety within the world of sports. Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey and former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva, however, may be on the decline in popularity.

ESPN has released their new edition of the “ESPN World Fame 100.” This time around, only one MMA standout managed to make the list.

Conor McGregor now stands tall in the No. 18 spot, just four spots behind former opponent from inside the squared circle Floyd Mayweather Jr. The only other two UFC competitors to ever make it onto the list have since vanished.

Ronda Rousey locked in a spot at No. 17 in an earlier edition of the list, with Anderson Silva ranking at No. 39. However, neither fighter managed to find a spot for the 2018 edition.
