Even With USADA, Khabib Says 50% Of UFC Fighters Are On Steroids

Newly crowned UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov is enjoying his time as the new reigning title holder of his stacked division. With that in mind, the fighter has now come forward to claim that many of the fighter’s on the roster of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) are allegedly taking steroids.

“The Eagle” earned his UFC title in a controversial match up against Al Iaquinta. Iaquinta was not ranked within the top ten of the division at the time, yet was deemed fit as an apt opponent for the No 1. contender in a fight for the vacant belt.

Nurmagomedov put on a dominant performance over the fighter, ultimately earning a unanimous decision victory for the title. Speaking in an online conference in Samara, Russia, “The Eagle” recently offered his thoughts on the state of the UFC following the use of anti-doping watch dog USADA.

“We have USADA, which verifies us,” Nurmagomedov said, “I mark my location in the application, if I do not, they will put a checkmark, and three such check-boxes will have me disqualified for two years. I think that this is right, because the fighters compete at a high level, when one is on doping, and the other is not, then one person gets the advantage, and moreover, he can cripple the opponent. ”

“In my professional opinion, up to now 50% of UFC fighters, if not more, use steroids, but cleaning is under way.”
