GGG Reacts To His Quick Cinco De Mayo Knockout Win, And He’s All Class

Boxing fans made their way to the Stubhub Center in Carson, California on Saturday, May 5, for another exciting night of match ups. This time around, middleweight pugilist extraordinaire Gennady Golovkin put on another dominant performance inside the squared circle.

Following a stunning knockout victory, “GGG” has now decided to offer a brief statement.

Golovkin was initially set to face off against Canelo Alvarez in a highly anticipated rematch following their highly controversial draw back from 2017. However, Alvarez has since been suspended for failing drug tests.

Consequently, the Cinco De Mayo fight was accepted on short notice by Vanes Martirosyan. Martirosyan braved the ring and gave it his all, but ultimately suffered a tough knockout loss within the second round.
