Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu phenom Gabi Garcia is set to make her next big mixed martial arts performance over the weekend. At the recent weigh-ins for the match up, however, referee veteran Herb Dean struggled to keep Garcia away from her upcoming opponent.
Garcia is currently undefeated in her MMA career, having earned four victories inside the cage and one no contest due to an eye poke. Now Garcia is set to make her big debut under the mixed martial arts promotion Road Fighting Championship.
Road FC 47 is set to take place Saturday, May 12, inside the Cadillac Arena in Beijing, China. Facing off on the night’s card, Garcia will be going toe-to-toe with Veronika Futina.
During the recent weigh-in, as seen within the video provided, Garcia entered an intense staredown with her opponent when they met face-to-face. Herd Dean can be seen attempting to separate the fighters, but momentarily failing to do so.
