Mackenzie Dern Had A Weight Management Sponsor Ahead Of Today’s Shameful Missed Weight

UFC women’s strawweight Mackenzie Dern is getting ready for her next big match up for inside the octagon. Following the fighter’s missed weight for the bout, it has been revealed that Dern was promoting sponsored weight management products ahead of her weigh-in.

Mackenzie Dern is set to make her sophomore octagon performance this weekend. The fighter will be facing off against Amanda Cooper on the highly anticipated fight card of UFC 224.

The event goes down May 12 in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil and will be available live on pay-per-view. While Dern is still set to compete against Cooper, the fight will now be at a catchweight.

Fighters hit the scales for UFC 224 on Friday, with everyone making weight expect Dern. Dern weighed in at 123 pounds, seven pounds over the division maximum.

Cooper accepted a catchweight bout against the fight, but Dern will be fined 30 percent of her fight purse. Taking to Instagram ahead of the weigh-in, Dern began promoting her sponsored scale to her fight fans.

Check it out below:

“I finally got my hands on this scale and it really is a game changer! It was able to help me track body fat, muscle mass and water weight. It a bad ass tool for anyone! Go get one for 60% off using my code “dern” at vitagoods.com/dern . Thanks @Vitagoods for the support! #UFC224 #ufcrio”
